9in Ford Housing 1979-2004 Mustang
Strange’s 1979-2004 Mustang rear end is built with fill and drain plugs, This allows fast fluid changes and quick inspection of the ring gear. The housing is tubed with DOM 1026 steel and 3.250″ OD by .250″ wall thickness. It has a heavy-duty faceplate and internal gussets to provide increased rigidity as well as larger welds that provide more support to the axle tubes. It has upper control arm mounts and lower control arm mounts with 6 hole locations. An optional satin black powder coat finish is also available.

Ford had approached Strange Engineering to build the 9 inch rear end that they originally sold in the Ford Racing catalog.
